Lunch at Cafeteria

Since my cousin was visiting me in New York, we took a day to roam the city. We didn’t make it too far, but we ended up in Chelsea where we stumbled upon Cafeteria, a pretty hipster location serving American food 24 freaking hours a day!

119 7th Ave, New York, NY 10010

We decided to eat here on a whim and it was pretty decent.

The tomato basil soup was delicious. It was a sweet, tangy, pizza tasting sauce with a tiny slice of toast in the middle to make it look pretty.   I was kind of bummed about the toast being so small though. The description was super deceiving by saying “mini grilled cheese”

The Nutella Hot Chocolate was slammin’! I haven’t had nutella anything since 7th grade when a friends mom used to make her nutella sandwiches. Today I decided to try it out and I loved it. Just the right amount of sugar and the milk was pretty close to cappuccino milk, which I definitely appreciated.

Now this particular place is famous for their Mac and cheese and we honestly could have done without it. It was pretty bland and I didn’t even bother taking a photo.

Luckily, I got the chicken and waffles!

The two sauces on the side are literally just syrup and hot sauce. Not really any special hot sauce. It tasted like hot sauce from the chinese restaurant. My chicken was good, crispy like I like it. The waffle was a fluffy and most definitely required an extra syrup. I enjoyed my meal but I will most likely only be going to Woodland for my chicken and waffles.

Have any of you guys ever gone to Cafeteria? Let me know!
